I am running IE 6.0.28.1106 with Win 98 SE and everytime I print out an item from a web page within IE as soon as the printing is completed it drops out my modem connection. I can print out from any other source for example Word or Word Pad and it will not drop my connection, this has only started to happen over the last couple of days, I have uninstalled and reinstalled the USB printer and drivers, and the modem software and drivers to no avail, any ideas please ??

Did you install or change anything before the problem started? You can try going to tools, internet options in IE. Click on the connection tab and then select your connection. Click the settings button and then the advanced button. If there is a check in disconnect when connection may no longer be needed take it out. Close IE and then try again.

Sunny, Yes thanks mate, I did all the obvious checks, but this one defies logic, Epson support even suggested an IRQ conflict, but I checked that out as well.

Hi Guys, well it looks like I have cured my problem although I do not fully understand how, I went into Printer properties and unchecked the spool option and checked the "Print Directly to Printer option "And it no longer cuts me off after printing. But what Spool.exe has to do with the modem I am not too sure.
