I have been currently experiancing a problem with windows 98 restarting my machine if i leave my PC on overnight to download stuff of the internet. But when i go to use the PC in the morning, it restarts as soon as i touch either the mouse or the keyboard.

It only however does this every now and again.

Is anyone else having these problems with there machine?

Does anyone know how to stop it?

    Any Help would be apprieciated.

    Thanks

    Paul

In control panel, click the power management and put a "never" by all. May or may not be the case, in your case though.

Could be a heat problem. When's the last time you cleaned all the dust bunnies out from the inside of your box? While you're in there check to make sure all fans are running properly.

Also clean out the Windows\temp folder and the TIF folder as well.
