Is it Possible to Connect a Windows 2000 Machine to Multiple Workgroups.

I have Two Networks set up. I'm trying to get my main PC to Connect to Both Networks without me having to Change the Workgroup.

Is this Possible. Searched the Net but could not find anyway to do this.

    It is possible.

You say you have 2 networks. Did you mean 2 workgroups or do you really have 2 networks. 2 networks would mean ip address ranges that fell into different subnets and the networks hopefully using a router to see each other.

    For instance,

192.168.0.1 and 192.168.0.200 using a netmask of 255.255.255.0 would be on the same network.

    192.168.0.1 and 192.168.1.1 using a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0
    would not nor would
    192.168.0.1 using 255.255.255.0 and 192.168.0.2 using 255.255.0.0

    Sorry,

I meant to say I have two Workgroups. I want my main computer to be a member of both these work groups.

    Thanks

You can only join one workgroup per system, at a time.

What is it that you are trying to accomplish?

    Why I need two workgroups

I found this thread that poses the same problem I have. I have a laptop (XP Pro) that I want to use on a network at a new job that I just took. When the network administrator tried to hook me up to the network, he said it would not work because I was already in a workgroup. It is the workgroup I use at home. Since I use my laptop at several locations for business reasons, is there a way I can be part of more than one workgroup? This problem has not come up at my other work place where I have no trouble connecting to the NT server on the network. What do I need to know to solve this prob?

    Thanks
