I had to do a complete system recovery on my laptop and now the A drive does not function. What do you suggest that I do?

    Thank you,

If not working in windows, try this suggestion
Right click on My Computer, select Properties, click on Device Manager tab.
Click on the + sign next to Disk Drives and remove the Floppy Disk entry.
Click on the + sign next to Floppy Disk Controller and remove the Floppy Disk Controller.
    Reboot.
