Using Win98SE; MS Word 97; MS Works 2000.
Recently, when I press Caps Lock key, my screen turns black with white font momentarily, then returns back to the white normal screen with black font.
What has happened? and what can I do to eliminate the problem?
I tried "system restore ", but I guess I didn't have more than the 3 previous registry entries.
(BTW, it sure would be nice to be able to "keep" more than 3 entries.
    thanks in advance

Did you make any changes in Accessibility Options in Control Panel? You can adjust settings here to briefly change the screen when you hit certain keys.

Just because you didn't make any changes in the Accessibility features doesn't mean Windows didn't. ;)

You might want to check things in Control Panel>Accessibility>Keyboard tab just to make sure. "Sticky Keys" are activated by pressing the shift key five times, which isn't all that hard to do by accident (convinced you're hitting the Enter key, nothing happens, keep hitting it...you get the picture :D ). The default settings are no boxes checked.

    Miz,
I had the Sticky Keys unchecked, and was getting the momentary black screen. I then checked Sticky Keys, applied/OK and still get the momentary black screen.
    So..........????
(to know what I know, visit my site:

but what I know doesn't help me with the annoying black screen.
