I've recently Upgraded my PC from Windows 98 to Windows 2000. I'm having problems Saving passwords for my ISP Dialup Connections.

Every Time I connect to the Internet I have to Reenter the password even although I have check the box to save passwords.

It seems to replace my password with 16 *.

    Can anyone Help.

The long string of **** is normal. A way to make sure no one else looking on will even know the length of your password.

For specific ideas on the problem and the fix, use the search feature of this forum and search for save (dialup or (dial and up) password then look thru some of the other discussions of the same problem.

I structured the search that way so you'd see threads that had dialup or dial up in them. You could do the same thing with two different searches for save dialup password and save dial up password.
