Figured that this is going to be a simple question for someone out there, I hope. I have tried increasing my screen resolution and of course everything gets smaller. Is there an easy way to increase your screen resolution and not have to reset all your font sizes etc.? Or is there a general rule as to how much you should increase font size, etc. with each increase to screen resolution?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hey Gator,

Its really not that hard to do. Get the desktop resolution set where you want it. Then while you are in your diplay settings choose the appearance tab. There you can change your colors scheme and font sizes to fit what you like best. Then choose the advance button and in the item drop down box choose icon size. There you can increase your icons and set the spacing better. There you can also set your font sizes, type, bold, italic, and colors .

    I hope this helps!

You can also go to Display Properties > Setrtings tab, press the Advanced button, and on the General tab, set the DPI setting to 120%, or any custom setting you prefer.
