As an old dos-head I have forever used PKZip as unzipping and zipping siftware. With windows 98SE I understand that Winzip is quite good. 2 questions. Where do I get Winzip? How do I remove the default program from the open aspect of the file, (right click)?

Right now when I click on a zip file it defaults to the pkzip programs.

    Thanks

Get it here. It'll associate itself with .ZIP files during installation.

You can download Winzip from Download.com

For changing the default program, when you install Winzip it should take care of that for you. If for some reason it doesn't or you want to change the file association for something else do the following:

While holding the Shift key down, right click on the file type whose association you want to change, select Open With, scroll to the program you want and click on it once to highlight it. Make sure there is a check mark in Always use this program to open this type of file
