Turned my computer off friday night....came home monday and when i start it it runs so slow. The task manager says that system is running my cpu at 100%. I have trend micro antivirus and firewall but i cant get it to run. Tried starting in safe mode but the antivirus wont run there either. Could this be a virus or hardware or software problem. Nothing new was loaded. Thanks in advanced.

did you check to see what process is taking up all the cpu? also you could try booting in diagnostic startup to just load the basics you should be able to run your antivirus from there. go to start/run/ msconfig and select diagnostic.

    hope this helps.
