I'm new to Win XP (from Win 98-ME). On ME there was a maintenance wizard , also a separate scandisk, defrag and cleanup options under Accessories/System Tools. On XP there is no wizard and no scandisk (that I can find). Is this correct or am I looking in the wrong place? Thanks.
    Seamus.

    Hello Seamus,

To run chkdisk, XP's version of scandisk: bring up the HD > bring up properties > tools tab.

XP will schedule chkdisk on next bootup to be run in safe mode. Defrag is also here.

"defrag and cleanup options under Accessories/System Tools" are under the same place as 98.

Lots of info on XP here http://www.windows-help.net/WindowsXP/

    Regards - Charles
