XP Profile problems

For whatever reason my computer deleted my initial profile. Didn't delete any hard data, just the profile. So now a lot of the stuff (like stuff on the desktop) doesn't show on my desktop. My favorites don't work, nothing. It's a completely new profile, same access level (admin) and everything.

How do I restore my old profile? This new one uses my old name and password as well. All my files are still on my computer (i have to copy and paste it over to this new profile), it just like, reset everything.

 

You need to run a system restore to a time/date before the problem appeared.
