OS: Windows XP Professional XP SP3 32 bit

Does anyone know what the hotkey/keyboard shortcut is to open Outlook Express in XP SP3?

Here's why I want to know: I bought a remote with an email key on it. My OE is broken and I don't want to fix it (I uninstalled it); I use Thunderbird. I'd like to find out what keyboard shortcut that email key is sending so I can make that keyboard shortcut work for Thunderbird instead.

Normally, I can look at the properties for a LNK file and just click on a key on the remote when my cursor is in the link's "Shortcut key:" field in the 'Properties' dialog box. With this particular email button however, all I get is "CTRL + ALT+ " with no letter or digit in the third place.

For example, my default browser is Firefox, so when I've got the cursor in the "Shortcut key:" field for a link and hit the remote's browser key, it shows "CRTL + ALT + M" as the hotkey sequence for opening Firefox.

I don't know why I don't see a third character when I hit the remote's email key. If anyone knows of a way to make a shortcut key's keystroke combination visible, that'd help too.

I found three utilities for remapping keyboards on this page.

If none of those work for you, a Google search for "remap keyboard" will give you other resources.
