    Hi all
Thank you very much for posting, and your info is very helpful.I am new at all this computer junk, but am tryin to read as much as I can and ask lots a questions before I dive in head first.

Well the more I read about win xp the more Iam not sure. Will I run into the same problems with other versions of windows, or does setup and activation vary?

Again thanx for taking time to answer my dumb questions.

none of the other versions of windows require activation. They can be installed on multiple pcs.

However, Microsoft will be discontinuing support for anything less than windows ME with the year if I remember correctly. Eventually, XP will be the standard. Plus, personally I think it is worth the upgrade. You can always buy the upgrade and look to www.9software.com for a license for the second pc. That is where I get my licenses from.
