There may be but none that I've run across. Horrible search tools IMO.

I think quite a few of us are using the free, fast, excellent Agent Ransack for our search engine.

    Thanks Newt,

I agree about the so called "search" feature in XP - P- poor
As mentioned in another post, I use Windows Exploder as little as possible,
(prefer TC ) -Maybe I am just an ol' Geezer
that still knows how to read and use the keyboard - don't really care for Dancin' Dogs and Smilin' paper clips etc.) -yes I have disabled them -

    Thanks again

    Thanks Miz....

The Trail Verson does not have that tweak available that I can see..
Seems to be mostly about "Internet Explorer" which I don't use.

And I am still a little apprehensive about editing the reg in XP - home

Got to think about that a little.

    But thanks for the pointer.

Newt's advice is sound. AgentRansack is getting to be world acclaimed standard. I've used it for years and would never consider fooling around with the XP search tool again. It's totally free with no strings attached. Non invasive and works seamlessly with the system without altering the present search tool.

If you prefer to get it straight from the maker:

You'll wonder how you ever managed without it.

    Thanks Miz.

Saw it, did the reg tweak, works fine, love it. Classic is lots better (and faster BTW) than that 'assistant' thing.

    Thanks to all...

Reg tweak works pretty well. (actually very well )

D/L AgentRansack and will work with it a bit before making any rash statements.

    Thanks again to all
