can not activate the built in firewall after a reinstall message i get is ERRO 1061 CANNOT ALLOW SHARED ACCESS? Never had a problem b4 help..

 

We'll need the exact, entire error message I think. Do this:
- right-click the My Computer icon on the desktop
- left-click Manage
- left-click the plus sign by the Event Viewer under system tools
- your error will be either in the System or Application section. Find and click it open.
- click once on the icon below the up/down arrows in that window which will send a complete copy to your clipboard.
- do a reply here and then a paste to send the contents to your reply.

And This may give you some ideas for dealing with the messenger spam you were asking about in another thread (where I deleted the contents since it didn't fit the original thread topic).
