I have windows 7 home eddition upgrade. When I was setting things up,some how i got my notepad msg's switched to wordpad. How can I switch them back to notepad? If I switch one file, will all files come up in notepad,or will I have to switch one seperately? This the first time I have ever seen windows let you do something that you couldn't undo.

I assume you mean the .txt extension has changed the default program from notepad to wordpad...

If this is the case right click on any text document and look for "Open With ", in the sub menu select "Choose default program... ", select Notepad from the offered suggestions and all should be back as it was before.

    Welcome to WindowsBBS :)

This should associate all text files with Notepad ....

Orb > Control Panel > Default Programs > 'Associate a file type or protocol with a program' .....

Scroll down to .txt - the default is Notepad - presumably you see Wordpad as the default?

Highlight .txt > click Change Program at the top of the window and highlight Notepad and check the 'always open ..... box (screenshot)

    OK out
