    Hi,
I have a laptop at home that uses wireless connection. Other computers are linked to that as well, but show no sign of my computer problem. I did an update on XP earlier this August and after that the computer continues, every 5 minutes or so, to shut of the wireless connection. I am getting a little frustrated ..and I would highly appreciate your help!

Did you try reinstall the driver of the wireless adapter again?

i do not know if the other computers are connected by ethernet cable or are wireless as well
Try changing the channel of the wireless from the default 6 to any other of the channels
channels 1 and 11 are first picks
move the router over a foot or so
Make sure router is high and not obstructed
Welcome to the world of wireless internet - it impresses people but is not trouble free
