Windows XP won't load

    Have been getting the message the last two days when I turn on computer cannot load OS. After 4 or 5 tries, it finally loads. Did the same thing this morning. Nothing new has been added to computer, and I ran anti virus, rootkit and spyware programs

    Check for a loose or bad IDE cable to the hard drive. Check the power plug to the drive also. If they appear fine download and run the hard drive manufacturers dianostic program to determine the status of the drive.
