Has anyone used Add/Remove Plus 2003 from Aurelitec to uninstall programs in Windows XP?

I can't figure out a way to uninstall some programs which
    (1) don't appear in Add/Remove Programs and
    (2) don't have a specific uninstall module

Why isn't there a MS Windows Uninstaller like MS Windows Installer?

    Hello Eleanor,

There are some programs that do not install in the sense that they already have an execute w/o having had to create one through a setup process, or the setup software created a self contained folder for the executable; all the .dll, .ini, etc are located in its folder. In both cases, not "registering" itself in Windows. If this app's folder does not contain an uninstaller, deleting the folder is all that would have to been done to uninstall.

If this isn't the case, and a program is missing it's unistaller, which is what Windows uses, try reinstalling and see if that recreates the particular uninstaller.

    Regards - Charles

Thanks for your reply, Charles. It makes a lot of sense. I will just delete the folders in Program Files.
