Windows XP Shut Down

    I have a laptop 3-1/2 years old with XP Home, SP2. For the last week or so when shutting down it hangs and I have to shut down by the power switch. It is ok when rebooting. I've checked in the Threads and apparently no one else has this problem.
    Help please.

    Try downloading UPH-Clean Set Up. It's free and it helps but it doesn't cure it.
