    Dear All,

I am a new member to this site. I hope that someone can help me.
Over time my XP registry seems to have become corrupt as the machine is slowing down and programmes do not always seem to work.

I was rather hoping that as I am a begginer/ Intermediate XP user, someone may be able to point me in the right direction as to what I should do to stabilise my machine (i.e. clean up and repair the registry).

I am using Windows XP Professional (SP3).

    Thank you for your help.

    Sanjiv

    Welcome to WindowsBBS;)

If you're Not getting any errors regarding the Registry, I'd leave it alone.

CCleaner is very popular for cleanig the registry and all sorts of other things...Just keep in mind that removing wrong entries can Kill your pc.

Spyware and Maleware are the most common causes of pc slow downs.
