You will need to go into the BIOS and check that the boot order is set CD-ROM > Floppy (if present) > Hard drive.

When the computer first boots the first or second screen generally shows which key to hit to enter the BIOS - also referred to as Setup. F1 and Del are two common keys.

Once you have established that the CD-ROM is the first boot option insert your XP CD into the drive and reboot.

Then follow the instructions for a Repair install here....

    Perform a Repair Installation

I think you may well have a problem with your hard drive - see if you can enter the Recovery Console and run chkdsk /r ....

Follow the instructions from here ......

How to install and use the Recovery Console in Windows XP

What is the Stop Error Code on the BSOD and is there a file referenced on the blur screen?

Unfortunately it looks as if you have a major hardware problem - my best guess is that your hard drive is failing.

There's really nothing else I can suggest.

I guess we all missed the Ultimate Boot dialogue and while I have a few thoughts, not knowing what you have just done, there's not much help I can provide either. The file you reference is agp video related on boards with Via chipsets but don't be fooled by thinking that if it's the last file that loaded it's therefore the cause of your problem.

    Good Luck.

    ;)
