    Hello,

Today i encountered a problem with my internet connection vs. my computer.
I run 2 computers on the same network, one is working (unfortionally its not mine).

The thing about this problem is i do not know how to troubleshoot it.

I've tried windows internet repair, NetworkMagic repairing too.

It says everything is fully connected, it even gets normal responds from when i ping google etc. in cmd.

I know its not hardware issues seing as when i boot up in Linux Ubuntu (like i am now), the internet works perfect.

So my main problem is; When i boot up in XP, the internet doesnt work AT ALL, its not firewall blocking or anything, everything is as it should, however, nothing can connect to the internet at all, and i don't know how to find the source, seing as everything is how it should be. (Spyware is also cleaned, no spyware/viruses/worms etc. found.)

    Thanks for your help.

    Welcome to WIndows BBS ElecFire

    Two quick questions.
Is the broke computer running Zone Alarm firewall?
Have you applied July 2008 Microsoft updates?
If you answer YES to both questions, click on link below ...
ZoneAlarm not letting ANY Internet access

If you are NOT running Zone Alarm, please ignore this post/suggestion.
