    Hello all,

I am getting a glue screen of death with the following windows stop message 0x00000024 (0x00190203, 0x822E5868, 0xc0000102, 0x00000000) message when I try and boot my pc.

I have tried safe mode with network, without network and command only and all get the blue screen.

I know the 0x00000024 message notmally means a media type error with possability of drive failing. I have heard about a program called drive fitness test by IBM but from what I can tell its only for IBM/Hitachi drives. Can anyone tell me if there is a tool to test hard disks for failures.

Also does anyone know what the other hex info means in the error I am guessing each block of hex code refers to something specific.

    Thanks
    ikhan42

You are correct in your interpretation of the Stop Error ....
The MSDN article referred to above contains details of the hex parameters - not that they mean anything to me :) ....
