Running WinXP Pro on a Dell Dimension 3000. On boot, the Win splash screen is offset almost 50% to the left "“ missing half the image on the 19" LCD monitor. Once OS is loaded, the screen and all graphics are fine.

Any suggestions on how can I prevent the splashscreen from such a severe offset on boot?

    TIA -

Possible too low of a refresh rate or wrong monitor/graphics driver. To check the refresh rate right click a clean area of your desktop then Properties. Click the Settings tab > Advanced button > Monitor tab. Make sure there is a check mark next to Hide modes that this monitor cannot display then in the box above use the drop down arrow to select a rate of 70 Hertz or higher.

Is the Dell splash screen, at the very start, offset as well? You may only see it if you do a restart from Windows.
