    Hi Guys,

This is Ferrard from India. I am new here.

I am using Windows XP Pro SP2
My computer restarts Automatically. I don know the reason,

I had this issue before a week and I was not able to format and re install windows again. I am a tech Support engg for Sage Software.

When I tried to install Windows XP using a boot CD. It got strucked. I tried with 3 different CD's/

So I took my computer a local service center and they changed the cable and re installed windows XP using their CD.

After that It was working great for a week. Yesterday evening I installed A game called Alone in the Dark. It installed Direct X 8.

After that the automatic re start starts.

I have Norton Internet Security 2008 installed and it said that it had Trojan Horse on D drive. I have installed windows on C drive.

I contacted on of my friend working in Symantec and I ran Symantec Virus removal and removed it.

Then re started my PC and it was working without any issue for 1 hours. Then I started downloading a file and left my system idle for 45 mins. Then I came back and opened Firefox and typed in www.google.com and then hit enter. It went to black screen and restarted itself.

After it reboots I got a message "Windows has recovered from serious error "

Checked event viewer "got error about DCOM "

I don knwo what that is.

I use AMD sempron 2800 with Asus board with 670 MB of ram. I always turn of windows update.

Can some one please help me. Your help will be very much appreciated.

    Thanks.
