Windows Repair Install

    I have a corrupt IE 6 SP1 and after trying everthing I am considering a repair windows home xp install.Was wondering if I would lose all my apps.EG AVG,Mozilla?Any help appreciated.

    No, you'd need to visit Windows Update after running the repair but your programmes, documents, etc would not be lost. That said, it's always a good idea to back things up!

    Have you tried repairing IE itself?

    Ive tried it all brett.Registry changes, reinstall.:) btw IM running xp home.

    Do all your back ups, JIC. Sometines a repair does "lose" stuff. If there is anything you really don't want to lose, burn it, just to be on the safe side.
