I'm trying to speed my boot up time. I don't use windows messenger but my wife does on the same desktop computer. Will it speed up my boot up time if I get rid of it? Thanks

When it opens, go to Tools/Options and take the check out of the box that says Start on Windows Boot up or something similar to that. Don't have a machine with it on handy as why I can't remember the exact words. Then close it and right click on it by the clock and left click EXIT. The next boot will not open it. If she needs it, it will be in Start/All programs and can be launched from there.

You are quite welcome. I know that it will open up if you use OE when you open OE also. It can be stopped there the same way.
