Need help with Windows mail. It's been working fine for several weeks on my new laptop. Then randomly stopped working this morning error code:

The connection to the server has failed. Subject 'Re: cape', Account: 'mail.stormdefender.com', Server: 'smtp.zoomtown.com', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10061, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

I received a new message, tried to respond and this popped up. Network connection appeared strong.

Possibly related problem? IE sometimes will not load, just spins for a while and then does not respond. Can't figure out when or why it happens. Again, the wireless network signal strength is good.

    Help please.

Is this the case, though even if I'm not using msn to connect to the internetl?

Also, I'm using Windows mail as part of Vista, not outlook express.
Why would it have worked fine for weeks and then stop randomly?

No, but I did have to unplug the router once...not the modem, but the wireless router? The IP address wouldn't reset because of that would it?
If so, how do I reconfigure windows mail to recognize the new address?

If for whatever reason IE can't connect to the internet - Win Mail won't be able to connect either. Need to check you're wireless settings.
