Im very experienced fixing and using computers. To start off i just replaced the mobo in the PC im working on. I boot it up everything works fine windows loads fine and starts installing drivers for the newly found hardware yada yada. After everything is finished i installed a copy of NOD32, Office 2007, and Ad-Aware 2007. I run a scan with Ad-Aware and it finds about 450 files, i delete them and reboot to finish the install of Office and NOD32. Now the system hangs after the welcome screen. I opened the task manager and ended one of the svhost process's and all of the icons poped up, and nod32 loaded. Everything works fine other than the taskbar isn't there. I tryed running system restore from the task manager (%systemroot%\system\restore\rstrui.exe) and a message pops up saying "Windows Restore cannot protect your computer, please restart your computer and try again. ". Ive also loaded system defaults in the BIOS. Im out of ideas and hope you guys have a few to throw my way  ... I realize there was probably a problem with one of the programs i just installed but i have no idea on how to unistall them.

    **edit**
ive also tryed starting up in safemode and it hangs also, after deleting this "svhost" process everything comes up minus the taskbar. and system restore is still unavailible. The only program enabled to start on startup is NOD32. Doing a fresh install is an idea but i would rather try and fix it first, than spend the time backing up all of their files. Also this computer hasn't been connected to the internet through any of this. thanks in advance.

It should not have an influence on any current files (although things do not always go the way they are expected...backup => BACKUP :) )
