Is there a way of keeping the "view" settings in windows explorer? I use the "details" setting so I can see more information. The setting changes back to "icons" after a while. This may be weeks.

drrach--I do not know if things are different in WinMe, but, once you have Windows Explorer view the way you want it, in Win98 there is a button in Start|Folder Options|View tab called "Like Current Folder ". Supposedly clicking it means all Windows Explorer windows will display the same way, and "forever ". :)
However, while I never have had Details change to icons, I often lose the View | "as Web page" setting, seemingly all on its own. I just reset it.
