windows explorer error

I am receiving this message when I try to access My Computer and some select programs on my desktop:

EXPLORER caused an invalid page fault in
module FLT.DLL at 015f:029d365d.

Anyone know what this is?

If my guess is right..it's spyeare that's causing this. Download and run ad-aware and let us know if it fixes it.

It most commonly comes along with imesh. Did you have that installed at one time?

 

Looks like the flash track virus.
You can find all about it with a web (Google ?) search for
flt dll
- don't put a dot between the t and the d when you search.

Yes I did have IMesh- and actually reloaded it

Will this also explain why my defrag won't run- or is that another issue?

Imesh is spyware...so running Ad-aware is exactly what you'll want to do.

As for defrag.... try doing a ctrl/alt/del......and end tasking on everything but systray and explorer, and trying again.

Well thanks for all your help. I downloaded SpyBot s&d and it seems to have worked.

Haven't been able to run defrag yet
