    Windows Defender Version: 1.1.1347.0
    Engine Version: 1.1.1481.0
    Definition Version: 1.14.1518.10

Is this the correct stuff for July 8 2006?

It says it was updated on July 5th but I have had two notices since then and when I click to download, the notice disappears.

    Anyone?

Noone?...Well never mind. I got rid of the thing. I didn't need it before and I don't now.

I broke a long standing rule about no BETA's on my machine. I guess it's a lot like the guy who can't help swinging at the high fastball once in a while. Dreamers.....

    Hi

Yes, that's the latest engine. I've been using it since that date with no problems. Granted, I use it via Windows Live OneCare, but it's the same beastie.

No way, Bill :) I was just too lazy/busy - take your choice - to dig out the laptop and fire it up to check.I use CounterSpy on my main desktop - same basic engine originating from Giant, also in MS AntiSpyware/Defender.
