windows 98

    I have a pentum 1 computer Win'98- after starting up the computer after a poweroutage - I have 3 hours glasses (or) pointers on the screen and my desktop is in triplicate - how do i get rid of this?

    Welcome to the board! I would first check your Display settings. The resolution may have changed.

    Win 98 Display

    Should i still check settings, even if when it starts up the microsoft logo etc is normal (only 1)

    Yes, do that - the M$ logo appears in DOS - before Windows loads, but I don't think screen resolution is the problem.

    From what you are saying the poweroutage occurred while the computer was running?

    It sounds like a video card/driver problem - I would re-install your video card drivers.

    Yes, still check your settings. As PeteC mentions, it could be your video drivers but I would start with the settings. That would be an easy fix.
