I am trying to change a file association from PhotoPlus 8.0 to IExplore but I'm afraid that the old way that I used to change the association, such as:

Hold down the Shift key while
right-clicking on a jpeg document, you are given an option called Open
With. Select this and then choose the program you want to open this
particular kind of file with in the future. Check the box that says
Always Use This Program To Open This Type Of File before clicking OK,
    and the file association changes.

does not work in Second Edition. Does anyone know how to change a file association in Windows 98, Second Edition.

    Thank you.

    Works fine in my SE.

Another way to fix it is to open Windows Explorer and go to View then Folder Options. Click on the File Types tab, find the right file eztention and Edit it.

    Jean,

Your method works, but the key is to select the file first (by single clicking on it), BEFORE holding the shift key, and right mousing.

Thanks loads, it really does work when the file is selected first.
