    Hi

This may take a little explaining so please bear with me!

I am running a PII 350Mhz machine with about 300Megs of RAM and have a broadband internet connection. I am using freebie firewall, antivirus and spyware software downloaded from the internet. I have been running Windows 2000 with service pack 4 and found this fairly stable, used with the firewall etc.

My problem is I want to use windows 98SE as I have flat bed and film scanners as well as some games that only run with 98. HOwever I have tried to install this and as soon as I do it only lasts for about a fortnight until it develops so many problems it falls over and needs to be reinstalled.

WOuld this be caused by the old spec PC or the fact that I am using freebie firewall etc or am I missing something else?

I do have a second machine that I could run two seperate systems, one with 98 the other with 2000, but both machines are PII 350's.

    Thanks for any help.

    Trevor
