windows 95 without floppy

    I need to install win95 on a pc with no floppy disk drive.
    How can I do it?

    Yes, but if it is a clean install you need the boot floppy to load generic drivers for the CD-ROM so that the CD can be read :)

    If you have access to a computer with a floppy drive you could make a bootable cd from a win98 bootdisk and boot from that.

    Boot the computer with the bootable cd in it and when it stops at the menu choose to boot with cdrom support. Once it stops at the a: prompt, assuming you don't have to partition and format it, remove the bootable cd and replace it with the win95 cd. Then change to the cdrom drive by typing E: (or whatever letter was assigned to the drive).

    Once at the E: prompt, type cd win95 followed by the enter key and then type setup.

    For more info on how to make the bootable cd, have a look at the help file for the burner program you're using to make it. Use the search feature and search the help file for bootable cd.
