    Hello All -

I had almost all of the windows I open on a regular basis where they would open full screen. Suddenly nearly all of them have to be maximized or resized upon opening so they can be seen and worked with. My question: is there a setting in WinXP that I can change to have everyhing maximized when it opens? A small problem to be sure - but very exasperating. Thanks.

Couple of pointers - long time since I used XP, but these are not XP specific ....

To open a window maximised from a desktop icon right click on the icon > Properties and under Run select Maximised.

For a window opened by another route maximise the window, hold down the Shift key and then File > Exit (I think :))

Unfortunately Windows is often stubborn in this respect :)

For IE I have used IEMaximiser for years - works with 7 too.
