    We recently had our PC in the shop in Turkey - new HD & motherboard. Have been reloading drivers & updates ever since. The set up file for win32 cabinet self extractor, seems magically, showed up on the desk top. Neither of us know when or why or what to do with it. I tried dragging it to system files but that only makes a short cut there. Do we want to run through set up & if so, why.

    I read the thread about the person having set up problems with a fax program but I'm not aware that anything we've installed has not functioned.

    thanks

    Welcome to WindowsBBS;)

    You could right click->Delete
    Leave it in the recycle bin for a while to verify you don't have any problems.
