I turned off Auto updating sometime ago now, but when I try to update from Microsofts Website I keep getting failed updates...

it goes through the process and the d/l indication screen shows its starting but all I get is 1 blue section showing in the window .... then it goes through the names of the d/l's then just pops a window up saying updates failed press the back button to try again...

I have looked through there knowledge base for fixes but nothing seems to work...

1 thing I have done in the last few weeks was to disable Upnp.. could this have anything to do with it...

I am running WinXp Pro ... has anybody any ideas please...

I don't know Flack, but it seem to be a commen problem.

Mine is with Win2K though, but the message is the same. I just installed 2K today after using ME for a while.

Hey Guys just found this on another site

This is the same as yogi and I are getting.... it looks like MS has a problem.....

Everytime i go to the update site, i think there is one file to download, i add it and click on install, up comes the licence box without any text inside. Then the download just hangs after that. No idea what the problem is, but hope its at microsoft's end.
