Resolved What router to use ?

Hi !
I'm hoping there is some one can help me.

I just got fiber optic cable hooked up ( am in a rural area ) they just connected it a day ago. And took the modem away.

I was/am using Netwave Base Blitzz router, they had to by pass the router and directly connect to the net that way. Once they took the modem away.

I have one computer in my office at home and I have a laptop in my bedroom that no longer will work to hook up to the net.

How do I know what router to buy ? The router I am using isn't compatiable with the cable now , that must be old - outdated ?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.. Thanks bunches !!

 

Yea it sounds more to me like the tech didn't want to mess with your router.
Usually their scope of work stops at getting one PC connected.

 

I ended up buying what I could afford and works for me, a cisco Linksys E1000 model
