    Could someone direct me to where I can learn what 'spyware' is, please.... and other similar insidious things that might have been implanted behind my back..?

    Oops!! Sorry - have now found tutorial -- on Spyware, anyway..

    Thanks guys... have now downloaded Spybot1.3 and run it.. found three aparently insignificant things - removed them and still running OK..
