Well i cut a new font i download, going to C drive, looking for WINDOWS then to font, but WINDOWS folder isnt there! i searched for it, and it came up with the folder, but inside it had nothing but a "system" folder, which also had nothing in it. I desided to do a system restore to a week back, still no WINDOWS folder, i restore till i first got comp, it says "nothing new installed" or something, basicly, everythings the same, still no WINDOWS.
    Please help,

    Michael

By default, system folders are hidden. From WE, tools>folder options> view tab

Scroll a bit and uncheck "Hide Operating System Files" and tick "show hidden files and folders ". You might have to close WE and open it again, can't remember.

If you're looking to install a new font the 'correct' route is ....

Control Panel > Fonts > File > install new font

You shouldn't have to uncheck "Hide protected operating system files (Recommended)" for normal operations, but "Display the contents of system folders" should be checked. That way, the Windows folder and all of its subfolder, including Fonts, will be visible normally.

If yours is an upgrade of Windows 2000, the "Windows" folder will be called "WinNT ".
