Is there a way to create an Admin level account and make it invisible at the login screen, unless I press a key or something. In other words not show up in the list of available accounts, but be able to log into it somehow.

I know this is a long shot and probably a daft question.

It is possible to control the names listed on the logon-screen:

The default/built in admin account won't show up unless to boot in safe mode.

Can also do Ctrl-Alt-Del twice to bring up the classic login screen. Can then use the administrator account.

TweakUI has an option to remove user from the login screen:

Many thanks guys - this does exactly what I wanted.

I notice that in control panel - the account is invisible there too, not on the list.

I can log in though :)
