IRQL 27 (ie x'1B') is the profile timer interrupt. It crashes only if it is hardware problem. The BSOD is not related to sofware problem. The culprit may be faulty CPU, RAM, M/B, PSU or overheat.

CPU was my bet too as I have seen that message before on a bad P-IV 3.2 Prescot.

I have 13 confirmed case of failure at IRQL 28 (clock level interrupt). 6 is CPU, 4 is RAM, 2 is M/B and 1 is overheat. However I don't have any confirmed case of failure at IRQL 27.
