    Hi

Can any one tell me what this file is and what it is for....

    Windows/System/NWLink.vxd

I have Sygate personal firewall and a message keeps coming up the it is blocking this protocol, yet when I check my logs it is set to allow.

Is this file tring to send information? what is the file used for?

    Thanks
    Geri

    Hi
    An Update.

The message says that it is a "Windows IPX/SPX compatible protocol driver" and it is not letting it connect to the network.

    I don't believe I'm even on a network?

Anyway, thanks for any help you can give.

I have this protocol for sharing some games on two LAN
    connected Athlons.
It is launched from within Network Neighborhood in the Control
    Panel.
If you do not have a Network, just delete the protocol.
It is puzzling how it got there by itself !
The Sygate presumeably knows you do not have a LAN and
assumes the vxd is trying to access the internet - which it
is is not set up for.
    regards
