I recently upgraded from Win 98 to Win 2000 Professional. Before I upgraded, my volume control worked without a problem. Since I upgraded, my volume sound bar automatically returns to the lowest level. I move the bar up with my mouse and then it returns to the lowest level again. This only occurs when I'm using my docking station. If I use my laptop without the docking station, the volume bar is okay and doesn't move on its own to the lowest level.

I have ESS Maestro2E PCI Audio Drive (WDM).

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Which laptop? Download the latest sound drivers from the manufacturer's website.
