Virginia weather

    We had a heckuva storm pass through northern VA Friday evening and early Sat AM.
    Technically, the type of storm we has is called a derecho.

    Power was out for about 16 hours, many are still without power.

    Gotta love mother nature... On June 13th we had a major hail storm that did near 1 billion in damage.

    Got a friend that drag races every weekend that he can and didn't this past weekend because they are out of state (Alabama) trying to help restore power. Hope they get it back soon with this heat. Being from Florida, I know what it is like without power for a few days if we have a hurricane. I have a generator that we can run the house on but not the A/C. If it was more frequent, I would get a whole house one that runs on natural gas. Guy couple of houses down has one.
