Viewing Webcams not working

    when I go to a website where I would view a website, all I get is a little red X where the webcam should be, is there something I need to have enabled for this to work, because it used to work on my computer before I re-installed windows on my computer.

    Check this :

    In IE - Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > scroll down to Multimedia and check all boxes except the first.

    Many of these cams use Java, and many need a particular flavor. I go to one site that will only use Sun's new version, one that won't work on the new one but requires that an old one be installed, and some that use MS Java.

    There is usually information on these pages and links for downloading/installing the Java you need.
