VGA error message

    My daughter was ******** ariound with soms font sizing issues (I think) and now when I start my computer I get a screen Message that reads "VGA mode not support H:45.5Khz V:75>7Hz" I can't get beyond it Any thoughts? thanks

    If you didn't boot into the desktop yet, Try last Know Good during startup. Hit F8 on the Windows Screen and You'll bring up a menu, that is where you can choose Last Know ect...

    If that doesn't work let us know here.

    It sounds like she managed to select a video mode that is too fast for your monitor, not so easy as you have to click on OK to use the mode after it switches the video mode.

    But anyway....

    If you press F8 when the text mode progress bar appears at the bottom of the screen you will get a menu up. Choose VGA mode and your box will boot in 640x480 vga mode and you can then set the screen settings to something like what it once was.

    After you have fixed it you should then scold you child for having done it, and point out that adults know more about computers than kids :D .
